Jason Gonzalez is a Mexican American lead producer for GSU TV, Governors State University’s student-run television program on Chicago Television Network (CANTV), and a Production Assistant Intern for Radio Jaguar. For the past four years, Gonzalez has dedicated his time to creating impactful media that demonstrates the rich diversity of the Chicago land area. Through his dedication to excellence, he has received an associate degree of Arts from Joliet Junior College and is currently on pace to complete his bachelor’s degree in media studies in May 2024.

His work as a Digital Content Producer has captured captivating local stories such as the 2023 UPI Strike, and the signing of House Bill 5014 by Lt. Governor Julianna Straton. Along with his work locally Gonzalez has covered national, international, entertainment, and sports news through various platforms. His passion for digital media led Gonzalez to produce “Gotta Collect Them All” a short documentary that was guided by his love for collectibles and uncover the stories of lifelong collectors of trading cards, pop figures, and figurines. Upon his graduation, Gonzalez plans to work in the field of news and sports coverage.
